This is the second of two posts covering food combing and how and why it works to cure any digestive discomfort and stomach pain after eating which you may currently be suffering from.

But food combining is easy and simple because is categorizes all foods into 3 basic types:

Food Type A – These are relatively neutral and will pass through your system with little or no digestive enzymes required to break them down.

Food Type B – These require alkaline digestive enzymes to break them down. The process starts in the mouth, continues in the stomach and through into the small intestine.

Food Type C – These require pretty powerful acids to break them down. Hydrochloric acid and pepsin are the acid enzymes and break these food types down in the stomach.

Ok, so we learned earlier that different foods trigger the release of different types of digestive enzymes. Some of these digestive enzymes will be acidic and some will be alkaline.

We’ve also learned that on their own, each type of enzyme does a great job of breaking food down.

But when both types of digestive enzymes are released at the same time, that’s when digestive problems and stomach pain after eating can develop.

No More Abdominal Pain, Cramps, Bloating, Diarrhea & Stomach Pain After Eating

For as long as I can remember I’ve suffered from abdominal pain and bloating after eating. As a child I’d get excruciating abdominal cramps after eating certain foods – milk, cereal, fruit, meat and creasy foods seemed to be the main culprits.

When eaten, all would leave me doubled over with bloating, stomach cramps, gastritis and often diarrhea.

As I got older my lower stomach pain symptoms started to get a lot worse and it was like I was getting severe pains after eating after every single meal rather than it being caused by eating certain foods.

Even though I went from specialist to specialist and doctor to doctor; none of them were able to cure my abdominal discomfort after eating. Most of them simply linked my stomach pain and bloating to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and said there was nothing they could really do for me.

The Wrong Stomach Pain and Bloating Diagnosis

I was advised to stay away from the foods that set me off. As you’ll probably agree, this is not the greatest practical advice when it seemed like every food was now giving me pain, bloating and diarrhea after eating.
